About this event
In the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death in 2020, Americans everywhere demanded actionable change creating a pivotal point in our country’s historic battle for social justice. To help answer the call, United Way of Northeast Florida and several community partners organized Jacksonville’s inaugural Civil Rights Conference. The multi-day forum created meaningful connections between Black history and legendary pioneers of change in the fight for equity as well as conversations with contemporary Civil Rights leaders on current issues. Join us at United Way’s headquarters on Jan. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. as we walk through the organization’s communications strategy to help unite the city for impactful conversation and change.
Speaker(s):
Jennifer Mikosky, Vice President, Marketing and Communications, United Way of Northeast Florida
Sarah Henderson, Director, Marketing and Communications, United Way of Northeast Florida
