About this event

What would you do if your organization's leaders told you they needed your team to plan a high-profile media event in 48 hours or less? Are you ready? Do you or your team know where to start?

That was the challenge facing the communications team at JAXPORT. In the midst of unprecedented global supply chain disruption created by the pandemic, JAXPORT, Florida’s largest container port and one of the nation’s largest vehicle-handling ports, was completing a transformational harbor deepening project to allow larger container vessels to call Jacksonville from destinations throughout the world.

As much of the country experienced delays and congestion at ports, JAXPORT remained congestion-free and open for business. To help capture the intense news cycle, JAXPORT would welcome Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as he hosted national and state leaders to celebrate new ocean carrier business announcements, the completion of the harbor deepening project, and Sen. Marco Rubio's transportation roundtable.

Join the communications team from JAXPORT for their blueprint that aligns four strategic communications pillars – media, messaging, visuals and logistics – to plan these high-profile media events in less than 48 hours.
